CrispConvos help

Keep your Gmail
workflow familiar.

Use the controls below to understand a feature, recover native Gmail presentation or prepare a useful testing report.

Contact LimitlessMe

Email justin@limitlessme.app for CrispConvos support. Include your extension version and the steps that reproduce the issue, using fabricated or redacted examples. Please do not send private mail, credentials or real attachments. A public installation link will be added after Google approves the release.

Quick troubleshooting

How do I restore normal Gmail?

Open the extension popup and choose Pause for the current tab, master Off or the individual feature switch. Use Withdraw agreement to revoke the local-processing acknowledgement, including when settings are managed On. To recover after a browser-level disable, update or uninstall, refresh Gmail. Keep only one CrispConvos/prototype copy active.

Gmail owns saving. Let Gmail finish saving a draft before refreshing. Do not use Discard to repair a display issue.

Why are some attachments missing from the top section?

The section gathers native widgets already rendered in supported expanded messages. Open collapsed messages in Gmail to expose additional files. A supported native Expand all action, when available, is explicit and may mark messages read.

Unsupported or not-yet-loaded widgets remain in Gmail. The extension does not fetch files, index a mailbox or replace native Drive restrictions.

Where do Download and Add to Drive go?

They are Gmail’s original native controls. Google and your browser decide which actions, restrictions or choosers are available. CrispConvos does not provide a custom folder/shared-drive picker or save files automatically.

If a native file action fails in the combined section, turn Attachments at top off and retry in the original message. Report the nonpersonal reproduction steps before broader testing.

Why does editing a Subject create a separate conversation or draft window?

Subject editing exposes Gmail’s native input on supported inline Reply, Reply all and Forward. Gmail may split a conversation when its Subject changes, and a reopened edited draft may use a native independent window.

The optional Save and close drafts when navigating feature closes supported previous in-tab windows through Gmail’s explicit control. Reopen saved drafts from Drafts. Turn the option off to retain native navigation behavior.

What happens when I change conversation order?

An explicit order change returns the conversation scrollport to the top. Newest to oldest and Oldest to newest change the visual layout while keeping the full thread available. Gmail default removes extension ordering.

Visual and assistive-technology order may differ. Select Gmail default if native chronology better supports your reading tools. Passive updates should preserve your reading position.

Why is a control unavailable or locked?

Initial support covers recognized English-language Gmail web controls. Unknown or busy native controls retain Gmail’s behavior. The toolbar hides unavailable actions.

Your administrator can lock features Off or set preferences. If policy cannot be read, enhancements pause. Once policy is available, choose Refresh status. A first-use acknowledgement does not override organization policy.

Does the extension send my mail to AI?

No. AI may help build and maintain the extension, but there is no runtime AI connection. Gmail page information needed for a feature stays in the browser. Only nonpersonal preferences and a versioned acknowledgement are saved.

Prepare a useful report

Use fabricated messages and describe the smallest sequence that reproduces the issue. Keep sensitive information out of reports.

  • Extension version shown in the popup.
  • Chrome version, operating system and Gmail language.
  • Conversation order, pane layout and feature switches involved.
  • Steps taken, expected result and observed result.
  • Whether Pause/Off and a Gmail refresh restore native behavior.
  • A redacted or fabricated screenshot only when it helps explain the issue.

Do not include mail contents, sender/recipient lists, filenames that reveal personal information, account tokens, cookies, passwords or real attachments.

Before wider testing

Confirm native Subject save/reopen, previous draft save-and-close, native attachment actions and stable long-thread navigation with fabricated messages. Stop expansion for lost draft values, wrong reply/file targets or sustained browser instability. Synthetic tests do not prove Gmail’s server behavior.
